  • CPSU signs usufructs for DSWD PAMANA sub-projects’ access road improvement at Camingawan, Tagukon

To improve the access roads in Purok Mansumbil, Barangay Tagukon and Purok Payong, Barangay Camingawan, all within the reservation area of the university, Central Philippines State University signed Usufruct Agreements with barangay unit heads.

Dr. Aladino C. Moraca, University President, represented CPSU, while Hon. Raymundo R. Meleloa and Hon. Rico M. Regalia, the respective Barangay Captains of Brgy. Tagukon and Brgy. Camingawan represented their political units in the ceremonial usufruct signing.

Through the signed agreement, CPSU is granting the use of a 200-meter-long and 7-meter-wide parcel of land at Purok Payong, Camingawan, to the local barangay, dedicated to the improvement of the access road in the said area for 25 years.

On the other hand, CPSU is granting the use of a 120-meter-long, 5-meter-wide area with 0.50-meter shouldering on both sides, including the lot dedicated for the establishment and improvement of the access road under the DSWD PAMANA Peace and Development Sub-Project: “Improvement of Access Road,” for 25 years.

Honored inter-agency guests witnessed the ceremonial usufruct signing for the PAMANA or Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan project that transpired at the Accreditation Center of CPSU-Main Campus on June 26, 2025.

Welcomed by Dr. Moraca, guests included Kabankalan City Mayor, Hon. Benjie M. Miranda; Department of Social Welfare and Development – Project Development Officer III Mr. Dan Donald Candare; Social Welfare and Development – Team Leader Ma’am Bahiyyih Ruth G. Robinson; and City Social Welfare and Development Office’s Ms. Cyril D. Ramos, relayed their messages to the people in attendance especially for those who contributed to the formalization of the agreement.

CPSU officials who also expressed their support for the project were the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Grenny I. Jungco; Board Secretary V, Ma’am Nelly N. Cabual; Planning and Development Office - Planning Officer III Mr. Charlie Magne B. Coronel; Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Director Dr. Alejandro E. Nalagon; and Security Office Head Mr. Joel F. Pontino.

Hon. Meleloa and Hon. Regalia also conveyed their messages of gratitude to the people behind the project—the project being anticipated to improve the local community’s daily way of life.

The improvement of the access roads is expected to help farmers in transporting their produce and livestock, improve learner punctuality and attendance in nearby schools, enhance accessibility and ease of travel for university stakeholders including faculty and students, and increase general economic activities in the community.

CPSU continues to utilize its resources to uplift the lives of the people, create societal impact, bolster the local economies, and partner with government and non-governmental organizations in serving Filipinos.
