The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) - 3B won the Overall Champion trophy at the 10th Skillympics & Forum 2025.

BSHM 3B emerged as the overall champion with 18 points after overwhelming their opponents with exceptional food and beverage industry skills in various Skillympics events.

Hosted by the Central Philippines State University (CPSU) - College of Hospitality and Management (CHM) under the leadership of CHM Dean, Ma'am Sheila A. Ignacio, the three-day tournament is an annual avenue for Cenphilian CHM students to showcase what they learned from their Higher Education training—manifesting authentic learning.

With the theme: “Future of Skills Becoming Bolder Through Generations", the event was held last April 28-30, 2025, at the Mt. Ballo Hall of the CPSU Main Campus. The event was organized with the aid of the College of Hospitality Management Student Society (CoHMSS), supervised by the CoHMSS Adviser, Ma'am Charity A. Vergara; and led by Governor, Ms. Gail O. Tolentino.

The competition gathered Cenphilian talents in culinary presentation and beverage artistry, who enthusiastically showcased their creativity—telling stories of passion, perseverance, and diligence from every output that they presented.

The third day encompassed academic and industry discussions with the 2nd Hospitality Forum which brought together the industry leaders, faculty, and students to discuss the latest challenges in the hospitality management field.

“There is no secret to becoming a successful chef – only the willingness to try, fail, and learn through trial and error," Mr. Joel C. Cawit, culinary expert, expressed in his resource speech.

In addition, Mr. Kent Nephi C. Juarez, resource speaker, shared that through seminars and trainings, BSHM students can gain an edge and learn beyond what books can teach; he also highlighted that to be a true hotelier is to serve with a heart, guided by God, and driven from within.

Upon its conclusion, the 10th Skillympics and Forum 2025, students were inspired with renewed passion to enhance their skills to meet the evolving demands of the Hospitality Management industry.
