MUNICIPALITY OF CAUAYAN, August 7, 2024โ€”135 graduands were formally declared graduates of batch 2024 at the 22nd Commencement Exercises of Central Philippines State University โ€“ Cauayan Campus held at the Cauayan Arts Center.
On behalf of the University President, Dr. Aladino C. Moraca, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Fernando D. Abello confirmed the completion of the 135 graduandsโ€™ undergraduate program as presented by the Campus Administrator, Dr. Germa T. Borres, and conferred medals to seventeen recipients of Latin distinctions.

The ceremony marked an academic milestone for graduates from CPSU Cauayanโ€”fourteen from the Bachelor of Elementary Education, eighteen from the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science, eleven from the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics, twenty-four from the Bachelor of Agriculture major in Crop Science, thirty-five from the Bachelor of Agriculture major in Animal Science, and thirty-three from the Bachelor of Agribusiness.
โ€œKung sa kabila ng mga hamon sa labas ng unibersidad ay pinili pa rin ninyong ipagpatuloy ang laban, para na rin kayong nanalo ng gintong medalya. Dumating man kayo sa punto na nararamdaman na ninyo at nasasabi na ninyo sa inyong mga sarili na โ€˜parang nagtatagumpay na akoโ€™ o โ€˜malayo pa pero malayo naโ€™, kayo ay maglingkod ng inyong abot ng makaya para sa pamilya at sa bayan. Sa tingin ko, ito lamang ang mga utang na sisingilin sa inyo ng unibersidad, ang paunlarin ang sarili at gamitin ang inyong propesyon para paglingkuran ang sambayanan, malayo mang lupain ang inyong marating,โ€ said Republic of the Philippines - State Solicitor, Atty. Kristoffer Gabriel L. Madrid.

Atty. Madrid shared the stories of hardships he experienced and the rewards that he reaped as a student, relating it to the stories that the graduates may also hold dear to their growth.
โ€œI am very overwhelmed, humbled, and definitely blessed to have this opportunity to speak in front of you, today. Yes, undeniably, this has been my dream but more than this dream, I know it that it is God who has a specific purpose for allowing me to deliver this speech to all of youโ€ฆLadies and gentlemen, as we celebrate this academic milestone, let us be reminded to always instill within us the value of prayerfulness, perseverance, resilience, and acceptance as these pave the path towards attaining our yieldโ€”our success,โ€ conveyed Christine Joy S. Beli-ot, CPSU โ€“ Cauayan batch 2024 valedictorian and Magna Cum Laude, in her Highest Distinction Honorโ€™s Address.

Sangguniang Panlungsod, Hon. Ralph Alvarez, on behalf of Negros Occidental Sixth District Congresswoman Hon. Mercedes โ€œChedingโ€ Alvarez, and Municipality of Cauayan Vice Mayor, Hon. Anna Liza T. Soriano, delivered their respective inspirational messages for the graduates who are about to unfold another chapter of their lives and as citizens of this nation.
