𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟮𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀

Cenphilians, their parents, and loved ones marched in profound joy, with strides synced to the beat of the graduation hymn.

Forty Cenphilians from Central Philippines State University – Ilog Campus graduated from their collegiate programs during the campus’ 21st Commencement Exercises held on July 30, 2024, at Zaycoland Resort and Hotel.

CPSU Ilog’s graduating class of 2024 included seventeen graduates from the Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and twenty-three graduates from the Bachelor of Elementary Education Major in General Education, with Ms. Frenzy Ann D. Mayang, Magna Cum Laude, declared as the highest academic awardee.

Guimaras State University’s Vice President for Research, Extension, Training, and Innovation, Dr. Julius T. Vergara delivered the Commencement Speech relating his message to the theme of CPSU’s commencement exercises “Graduates2024: Advancing Professional Excellence through Internationalization.”

“Internationalization is clearly not a trend; it is a new standard for professional life. Whether you find yourself working locally or abroad, the skills and the perspectives you gained for international engagement will be invaluable...You, the graduates of batch 2024, are likely positioned to lead this charge. You are equipped not only with the technical skills and the knowledge required in your respective disciplines but also with the soft skills that enable you to navigate and thrive in the global environment,” said Dr. Vergara.

The parents and guardians, were also recognized as the commencement speaker asked them to stand, and were applauded by the attendees for their efforts and support to the graduates.

“Remember, as graduates of CPSU – Ilog Campus, you are not only equipped with knowledge but also with the responsibility to serve your communities and contribute to society. Strive for excellence, be agents of positive change, and let your actions reflect the values instilled in you during your time at the university. As you move forward, embrace the unknown with an open mind and a courageous spirit,” expressed CPSU Ilog Campus Administrator, Dr. Willie L. Lacida Jr.

University officials led by President Dr. Aladino C. Moraca and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Fernando D. Abello, extended their congratulatory sentiments and felicitations to the graduates and their loved ones; Dr. Moraca also thanked the local community for their support to CPSU Ilog Campus that led to its growth.
