The Mid-Year Convention for Central Philippines State University (CPSU) faculty members successfully transpired last July 15 to 19, 2024, culminating in an off-campus event at Resorts Negrense, Bacolod City.
The first three (3) days of the annual CPSU Mid-Year Convention were held at CPSU Main Campus Accreditation Center from July 15 to 17, themed โCultivating a Culture of Continuous Improvement through Academic Collaboration, Technology Integration, and Psychospiritual Wellness."
During the 15th, Negros Occidental, Civil Service Commission Negros Occidental Field Office Director II, Atty. Phillip Bernard H. Capadosa discussed the SPMS theory, Research Development Services Director, Dr. Angelie Rose L. Lumba presented the research and development updates on the results of the Needs Assessment Survey for Farmer to Farmer Project, and Review for Licensure Examination Director, Dr. Marjon C. Malacapay briefed the attendees with the updates for the Licensure Examination reviews.
On the 16th, Planning Development Office Director, Engr. Maria Cristina C. Badajos discussed the review and alignment of deliverables from OPCR to DPCR to IPCR, followed by a write shop per college and campus.
During the 17th, various talks were also given on Unified Syllabus Format by IMPDC Director Dr. Josephine Asuncion R. Emoy and College of Hospitality Management Dean, Maโam Shiela A. Ignacio, and on Designing and Packaging of Multimedia Teaching Materials by Commission on Higher Education Supervisor II, Dr. Rosslin John H. Robles.
More talks ensued after namely, โInnovative Instruction: Transformative Classroom Strategies and Approaches for Module and Workbooksโ by Jose Rizal Memorial State University System โ Instructional Media Development Director, Professor Jovelyn Cantina, PhD, and โThe Art of Assessment: Constructing and Evaluating Testing Materials with Item Analysisโ by Jose Rizal Memorial State University System โ College of Education Dean, Prof. Patrick G. Galleto, PhD.
The university faculty from different colleges also actively participated in the eventโs team-building activities and Spiritual Recollection lasting from July 18 to 19, 2024 at Resorts Negrense, Brgy. Punta Taytay, Bacolod City.
