Central Philippines State University received a testimonial plaque of appreciation from the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) in recognition of the universityโs presentation and involvement during the Local Digital Challenge, 2024.
Represented by CPSUโs Management Information System Director Dr. Ryan B. Escorial, CPSU received the plaque during the Information Literacy and Competency-Development Bureau (ILCDB) Provincial Summit 2024.
Themed โBayan Digital: Ang Bagong Pilipinasโ, the summit took place last July 19, at the Food Terminal Market in Bacolod City with distinguished DICT partners from CPSU and other universities who actively participated in the ceremonial signingโformalizing partnerships and fostering collaboration with DICT Region VI.
The plaque of appreciation reflects the dedication of CPSU to excellence, innovation, and meaningful engagement within the academic and technological community.
Local Digital Challenge 2024 regional champion, Mr. Roznen Soberano of CPSUโs Management Information System Information Analyst I, also received his award and is expected to compete at the national level this June 26.
The event commenced with a warm welcome from TOD Officer-in-Charge Mr. Jimuel E. Espanola, who set the tone for a productive and engaging gathering, followed by Regional Director Ralph Joseph Moncatarโs impactful message that emphasized the responsibility of ILCDB as the arm of DICT which fosters ICT literacy and competency nationwide.
Throughout the summit, various programs and activities under the ILCDB initiative were presented, providing valuable insights into best practices, innovative approaches, and emerging trends in ICT education.
