TÜV Rheinland declared that the Central Philippines State University has established and maintains an effective system with respect to ISO 9001:2015 during its surveillance visit last January 11-12.
The testing service provider, TÜV Rheinland, visited four sites namely, the Cauayan and Moises Padilla campuses for the first day, and the Hinigaran and Main campuses for the second day to check CPSU’s compliance with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) norms.
The surveillance audit included university milestones presentations given by the administrators from the top management, interviews with the process owners or respective heads of CPSU’s offices for ISO standards compliance, and observations of ongoing classes.

The lead auditor, Madilyn Plaza, read the result, “The organization, CPSU, has established and maintains an effective system to ensure compliance with its policy and objectives. The audit team confirms in line with the audit targets that the organization's management system complies with, adequately maintains, and implements the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.”
Two from the four-man auditing team revealed the consolidated result for the university from the two-day endeavor.
Director for Quality Assurance and surveillance audit head, Dr. Grenny Jungco, cited the benefits of the surveillance and ISO certification to CPSU's stakeholders, “By being ISO certified, there is recognition which is advantageous for our graduates, and for the university itself in acquiring State Universities and Colleges (SUC) leveling points.”
The validity of the university’s current ISO certification is effective from 2023 until 2026, having January 10-11, 2025 as the tentative dates for the next surveillance audit.
