CPSU once again organized a Job fair participated by a total of 20 companies coming from different cities and regions held at City Mall - Kabankalan Branch last November 17, 2023, which aimed to bring closer employment opportunities to the community.
Over 480 job seekers took the opportunity to apply for various positions offered by participating agencies and companies in Kabankalan City, Bacolod City, Dumaguete City and La Carlota, of which 5 were hired on the spot. Among these companies were Qualfon Dumaguete, Concentrix, Teleperformance Bacolod, Ubiquity, Ace Hardware, Bascon Cakes, Gaisano Grand Kabankalan, GGG Manpower Services, Gochangco Enterprises, KCAT, Minebeamitsumi, No.1 Supplier Incorporated, N-rich General Services MPC, Prince Retail Group of Companies, RMA Manpower and Consultancy services, URC Sure Sonedco, Vallacar Transit Incorporated-Bacolod South, Pisces International Placement Corporation, and Placewell International Services Corporation.
The activity started with an early registration. Participants were welcomed by Sir Pedro N. Famatid, PESO Manager of LGU Cauayan. Inspirational messages were also given by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) representative, Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA) representative, and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) representative, emphasizing the purpose and importance of the activity.
The event concluded with the awarding of
tokens and Certificates of Recognition to partner Agencies and hiring
companies.
The realization of the event was
spearheaded by Ma’am Sune S. Quintab, CPSU Job Placement Unit, and Sir Jirec A.
Bacongco, CPSU Guidance Coordinator, in partnership with the Public Employment
Services Office (PESO) Cauayan, City Mall Kabankalan headed by Sir Gefferson
Cagbay, Mall Manager, and Tau Gamma Phi Fraternity-CPSU Main Chapter.
This is the 6th Job Fair
organized by the University through its Job placement Unit and Guidance Office
which started in the year 2016 as an avenue for its students, as well as the
Kabankalanons and neighboring communities to gain access to various employment
opportunities along their line of discipline.
